Creative Talk Behind The Music & Sound of “Gundala”
UIC College in collaboration with Gulir Bunyi held “Behind the Music and Sound of Gundala” workshop on music illustration or Film Scoring and sound design of Gundala made by one of talented Indonesia Movie Directors, Joko Anwar. The workshop was held on Saturday, September 21st 2019 starting at 2 – 5 PM, located at BSD Campus. The workshop featured Aghi Narottama, Bemby Gusti, and Tony Merle from Rooftop Sound production house as a music composer, Joko Anwar himself, and a team from Cross Fade Audio Post. Aghi Narottama, winner of the 2017 Indonesian Film Festival Award as “Best Music Composer” described the process of developing Gundala’s music illustration from the initial idea to the execution of the music making. Aghi together with his colleague, Bemby and Tony explained how to translate the director’s ideas into music that can deliver the story in the film. The Cross Fade Audio Post team discussed the techniques and sound design used in the production of the Gundala. The Director, Joko Anwar, also shared his experiences during the filmmaking, how to illustrate the illustrated music for the movie from directing perspective.
Around 80 seats were fulfilled and there are lots of enthusiasm for this workshop from the beginning when the registration was opened.
