RIZKY FITRIA HAKIM (KIKI), UIC Design College Program Manager &  Lecturer
Kiki has a Bachelors degree in Computer Graphics, Multimedia and Photography from California State University, East Bay, USA and a Masters degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, USA. She also has eight years of teaching experience.

Kiki first pursued a career as a photographer and graphic designer while studying for her degrees. In 2003, she returned to Indonesia and worked as an art director in several reputable advertising and graphic design companies. Upon the invitation of internationally renowned Indonesian graphic designer, Hermawan Tanzil, Kiki began to teach as a guest lecturer at one of Indonesia’s leading art schools, and then went on to lecture at various other reputable universities and colleges. In 2006, she became a full-time educator, taking up the full-time post of Computer Graphics & Multimedia Program Coordinator of an international arts college, before then moving to take up the position of Academic Co-ordinator at the UIC Design program.

 

UMA PARAMITA, UIC Design College Program Coordinator & Lecturer
Uma graduated from California Institute of the Arts, USA.

She is a graphic designer and educator with seven years’ experience. The majority of her work is print design and she specializes in art direction. Uma has worked in various leading companies and her passion for teaching led her to teach at selected leading design schools before taking up her present position at UIC.

 

 

 

ANGGA GUMAY, UIC Design College Internal Verifier Coordinator & Lecturer
Angga Gumay graduated from the Art Institute, Seattle, USA.

He majored in graphic design and during his study, he completed a five-month internship at Lemley Design as a graphic      designer. Following graduation, he worked at NIKE Inc., the global sports brand. After working in the US, he decided to return home to contribute his services to the Indonesian design industry. He then joined Yayasan UniSadhuGuna due to its reputation of providing high quality international education programs. After the UIC Design program was created to provide Indonesian students with unique and internationally-recognised qualifications that combine both theory and practice, Angga immediately joined as a full-time lecturer. He now teaches students to put their imaginations to work via applications used in the professional working world of design.

 

UTARI K. SYAUKAT, UIC Design College Lecturer

After graduating from Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle, with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts, Utari Syaukat had an internship at Mint Design Inc. (mint-usa.com). Prior to that, Utari had an internship at Modern Dog in Seattle (moderndog.com), while she was still in school. Modern Dog also hired Utari for a top secret Coca Cola project back in 2006. She also had the experiences to design limited silk-screen posters for artists such as Jem (Utari collaborated with Jannie Mercado) and Laura Veirs, who performed at Sasquatch! Music Festival. Utari then moved to New York and freelanced for Yard (yardnyc.com) and then landed a job at PS New York (psnewyork.com). In July 2007, Utari moved back to her homeland, Jakarta-Indonesia, and freelanced from home working on several projects including logo design, branding, and also collaborated with Selvi (illustrator) on a series of children's book. The next step was working as an in-house designer for The Papilion, a high-end luxurious mall with an edge. When she thought it was time to pursue the dream of her life, which was to run her own graphic design studio, she had to say goodbye to The Papilion to pour her sweat, tears and love for The Company Studio.

 

FALDIAZ BACHTIAR, UIC Design College Lecturer

He has shown great interest in art since he was young and firstly proved his talent by winning numerous painting competitions while he was at school. The highest award he achieved was third prize in the National Painting Competition throughout Indonesia in 1986. He also became the representative of Indonesia to the world of art exhibitions in China and was awarded the selected medal prize for his vivid and creative painting.

After graduating from Trisakti University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Visual Communication Design in 1998, he had the opportunity to work as a part-time Illustrator at the Hard Rock Cafe in Jakarta and then continued his career to become a permanent employee of the Hard Rock Hotel in Bali as a Graphic Designer. In 2002, he became a Senior Graphic Designer and the Head of Design for the Hard Rock Hotel Asia, which was assigned to the Hard Rock Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand. In this position Diaz was responsible for all aspects related to designs from the corporate identity system, concept designs for events, merchandise items to recruitment of graphic designers and training for Hard Rock.

In 2003, he began his new career as an Art Director at McCann Erickson. And his career continued to prosper, ranging from local advertising agency to multinational agency, until he reached the position of Associate Creative Director at Dentsu Strat in only 6 years. Diaz has vast knowledge and experience to deal with clients such as MasterCard, Unilever, GE, Djarum, Nestle, Frisian Flag, Pfizer, and won lots of big clients such as Telkomsel, Danamon, Ovaltine, etc. He also produced awards from bronze to gold in Citra Pariwara and Pinastika (A well-respected local advertising award festival), and achieved a silver award for the Best Advertising Campaign for Macs909 from the Association of Independent Advertising Agency network worldwide.

 

IRVAN PERMANA, UIC Design College Lecturer

He is a Business & Brand Strategy Director of ibrand - Integrated Branding Consultant, in Jakarta - Indonesia. For more than 12 years, he has been involved in every phase of business development; brand strategy & brand management; integrated communication strategy. Irvan Permana plays his roles as brand strategist by giving solutions in various brands and branding projects for for Corporate Branding, Product Branding, Program Branding, Personal Branding, Retail & Environmental Branding, Area Branding and Brand Communication. He also actively involved as a public speaker and facilitator for various institutions in Indonesia.
