UIC College offers an exciting opportunity for students to experience living and studying in the UK. The annual program, which in 2015 themed The Great Britain Study Tour, took the 25 participants to a journey around the great Britain visiting eight Universities in eight cities over the period of 10 days in 2015.
The journey started in London, where participants enjoyed astonishing two days tour around London by visited few of London’s most famous landmarks like Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, London Bridge, Westminster Abbey and the famous shopping place Oxford Street. On the second day, the students visited St. Mary’s and Brunel University London, where they had the chance to have an in-class learning experience.
Next stop is Oxford, where the participants had a glimpse at the fabled, historical University complex. The group then continued their journey to Bristol, where they visited The University of the West of England and stayed the night.
The group made a stop at Birmingham’s Cadbury World and Burling Shopping Center on the way to the North, before ending the day with a restful night at Coventry. Next on the itinerary was a visit to Coventry University and Hull University.
The group headed North to Newcastle, which called for a visit to Northumbria University. The participants had a chance to meet UIC alumni who furthered their studies here. The group then spent an afternoon shopping at Northumberland Street before hitting the road again to reach Edinburgh.
The group spent a memorable 2-day city tour in Edinburgh, a beautiful city rich history and enchanting culture.
